we provide nutritious meal options to students in an effort to focus on improving childhood nutrition and reducing childhood obesity. We encourage good eating habits early in life by providing children with foods rich in the nutrients, which they need in order to support their growing bodies and developing minds. Foods such as fruits, vegetables, lean meats, low-fat dairy and whole grains are the types of foods that assist in keeping kids healthy. The U.S. government has placed a high amount of attention on foods containing whole grains and dietary fiber. Dietary fiber is also found in fruits, vegetables, dry beans and peas. We fully support initiatives focused on good nutrition and exercise regiments for K-12 students such as Let's Move! We pride ourselves with having one of the biggest selections of fresh and frozen fruits including a large variety of apples, oranges, bananas, berries, citrus, strawberries, melons, grapes, pineapple, berries, kiwi, mangos, papayas, pears, watermelon, and a full line of exotic fruits from around the world. We also offer our customers full-line of fresh cut fruit, which include cantaloupe, honeydew melon, citrus fruit salad, deluxe fruit salad, preservative-free fruit salad, grapefruit, oranges, and pineapple.

Vegetables

Here at NorthBourne Foods we don’t stop with a great line of fruits we also sell just about every type of vegetable imaginable and since we are one of the most reliable produce suppliers in Houston, Texas we stock some of hardest to find products from around the world. Our large assortment of vegetables which includes onions, peppers, celery, garlic, mushrooms, lettuce, an array of salad mixes, and so much more.

Don’t forget, we specialize in serving restaurants so her at NorthBourne Foods we realizes that time is money so we offer a full line of fresh cut vegetable products that alleviate unnecessary hours of cold prep by your staff. Our cold prep line includes shredded cabbage, coleslaw kits, a variety of cut carrots, celery, onions, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumbers, peppers, radish, tomatoes, zucchini, and a variety of mixed vegetables. Salads Etc.

NorthBourne Foods is big on healthy products so we offer a superb selection of whole and cut salad greens and blends available for our customers. Our salads include iceberg lettuce, arugula, leaf lettuce, butter lettuce, romaine, and spinach. Our salads also include blends including American, Italian , insalata, mixed field greens, oriental blend, organic mixed greens, and other traditional and non-traditional blends. In addition, if you need a special blend, talk to our friendly Customer Sales Staff and we will try to accommodate you with a unique blend for your restaurant.
